Are you a pro-choice woman or non-binary person running for public office – anything from local school board to Congress? If so, the NWPC-WA can help you succeed by endorsing you.
Qualification
To qualify for the Caucus’ endorsement, candidates must identify as women or non-binary. They must demonstrate support for equal rights, reproductive freedom, and social equity and justice for women and non-binary people. In addition, they must have a competitive campaign plan.
Process
All questionnaires are available in either English or Spanish.
Our early endorsement process begins each year in April and regular endorsements take place in June.
To be considered for endorsement, candidates must complete a questionnaire (links included below). Incumbent candidates who have been previously endorsed by the Caucus must reapply for endorsement when they run for reelection. You are eligible to submit a previously endorsed incumbent (PEI) questionnaire if you are the current incumbent for the same office you are running for and the NWPC-WA has previously endorsed you for your current office. All other candidates are asked to complete the new candidate questionnaire, and must participate in an interview with a team of Caucus volunteers in addition to submitting the questionnaire.
Caucus Local Endorsement Action Committees (LEACs) exist in Benton, Clark, Cowlitz, Franklin, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Pacific, Pierce, Snohomish, Skagit, Thurston, Wahkiakum, and Walla Walla counties. Candidates in other counties will be interviewed by the state endorsement committee. The LEACs and state endorsement committee recommends candidates to the NWPC-WA State Steering Committee, which then votes to endorse them.

An endorsement from the NWPC-WA enables your constituents to identify you as a candidate who supports equal rights, reproductive freedom, and social equity and justice for women and non-binary people.

- Access to training and events, including the day-long Women's Campaign Training held each spring; multiple one-hour Tele-Training conference calls during the campaign season; and the Smart Women Salon Series, which feature experts offering tips on various leadership topics
