• Running for school board, city or county council or legislature, 
• Becoming a candidate for other highly influential but lower profile elected offices, such as fire, water, sewer, utility, or precinct officer, and/or,
• Understanding challenges women of color candidates face,
• Building your political experience by serving on one of the dozens of appointed boards and commissions in local cities and counties.
